Summer Kennel Tour
Summer holidays are the only time of year that you can come and have an exclusive tour of the state of the art Winterdance Kennels and meet all 150 Siberian Huskies, from puppies (we have 9 right now born March 6th) to touring dogs, our senior citizens and even Hank's raceteam that ran the 2010 Iditarod.
You will also get to meet Hank DeBruin, learn about dogsledding from him and hear him share his passion for distance racing and some of the experiences and stories that come from spending hundreds of miles in the middle of the wilderness with only his dogs for company from Haliburton to Maine, Michigan, Minnesota and Alaska. See for yourself the kind of clothing and gear that it takes to function in -50F weather and whiteout storms. The newly released Iditarod 2011 DVD will also be shown.
Lots of time to ask questions and visit with Hank and his family and the dogs and before you leave we will be happy to take a picture of you with your favourite dog (it might be hard to choose just one!!!).
Summer Programs run once a week and limited in space to allow a personal experience for all who attend.
Reservations are required. Starting July 2nd, 2010 program runs from 1-3 pm.
Cost:
- $30/adult
- $15 for children 3-12
- children under 2 free
